What happens during a Garage Reset

You can leave the garage as it is
There is nothing to tidy or move beforehand, and no storage to buy. I would rather see it exactly as it is.

We go through it together
You decide what stays and what can go, at whatever pace suits you. Nothing is removed without your agreement, and anything you are unsure about is set aside for you to think about.

I do the physical work
I move the boxes, carry out the items you have agreed to let go and clean the garage once it is clear.

I organise what stays
Everything you are keeping goes back in a sensible place, with the things you use regularly somewhere easy to reach.
Garages often become difficult gradually. Things become harder to reach, there is more to lift, and eventually the job can feel too big to start. I can take care of the physical work and go through everything with you at your pace.

What happens to what you let go
Nothing leaves the garage unless you have agreed to it. Where it is practical, I look for resale, reuse, donation or recycling before anything is taken for disposal.
If something looks like it is worth selling, I will tell you rather than quietly take it away. You can sell it yourself, give it to family, donate it, or ask me to make you an offer for it, in which case the amount comes off your bill. You are never expected to sell anything to me, and anything you are unsure about stays where it is.
About me
Who carries out the Garage Reset?
Garage Reset started with my own family.
I first cleared and organised my nan's garage. For her it was mostly about making things easier to reach and giving her more room to move around.
I then did the same for my parents. My dad mainly wanted to find his tools and garden equipment without digging through everything else first.
That gave me the idea for Garage Reset, and I now help homeowners sort out garages that have become difficult to tackle on their own.
I am the person you speak to and the person who turns up to do the job. By background I work in the design and engineering of buildings, so I am used to practical work and figuring out how a space can work better.
If you would rather meet me before booking anything, that is absolutely fine. I understand that it is nice to meet someone before they spend time in your home.

For garages that need more than the standard clean, including cobwebs, shelving and sills.

Shelving, hooks, bike racks and other simple storage, fitted while I am there.
Everyday things end up at waist height, so nothing needs a ladder or a lift.
Additional clearance

For unusually bulky, heavy or high-volume removals beyond a normal single load.
The awkward items go in one go, rather than sitting there for another year.
Afterwards
Keeping it that way
Once the garage has been reset, I can come back from time to time to put things straight again and stop it building back up. It is entirely optional and only ever discussed after your reset is finished.

- From £100 a visit, priced to your garage and confirmed with you beforehand

Pricing is only worked out once your reset is done and I have seen the garage, never before.
